Every 40 days, different lords and vassals are levied with their forces, transport, and capabilities, supported by higher authorities. Each lord has ratings for fealty, lordship, service, and command, and lays out forces on a mat. Wooden pieces represent different units like knights, mounted sergeants, and more. Assets include transport counters, provender, and coin. Players plan and command a 40 - day campaign with the mustered lords. Command cards are used to activate lords, and cylinder pieces show maneuvers. Feudal calendar markers indicate lords' service time. In battles, players array their lords' mats to rout the enemy. Event and capability cards add cultural and technological details. This game is solitaire - friendly, or players can use screens to hide levies.
To use this game, first, familiarize yourself with the lords and vassals, and their ratings. Then, raise and equip your army according to your strategy.
