A select few magically - gifted individuals, accompanied by their loyal followers, are lured from their villages across the desolate wilderness to the Ruined City. At its core stands the cursed Tower of Magic, soaring into the tempestuous clouds. Once, the Archmage and her Order of Mages reigned over these lands for an age, uniting the warring magics of the mythic races into a single, all - powerful force. That was, of course, until The Ending. Now, only a fraction of the mythic races that once served the Archmage remain in the Ruined City, and no human has dared enter its forsaken streets until now. These human newcomers are descendants of ancient Mages, outcasts living in distant camps. Unusual displays of power in their villages have gathered them small but eager bands of followers. They've journeyed here to meet with representatives of the mythic races, seeking their wisdom and magical secrets. The mythic races guard six distinct spheres of magic with unique abilities. It was the Archmage's power that once combined these spheres for greater magic. Now, much of this magic is lost, and the newcomers must travel the lands to reclaim sacred relics. Archmage is a euro - thematic hybrid game. Players step into the shoes of novice Mages, traveling the world to recover ancient relics, gather followers, and train apprentices in six spheres of magic and more. As their Order's power grows, they'll pit apprentices against each other, unlock unheard - of spells and magical powers, and build their own Mage tower to oversee the lands and work their magics. When the reckoning arrives, a new Archmage will rise to rule.

To play Archmage, start by choosing to be a fledgling Mage. Your main goal is to travel around the game's lands. On your journey, try to find ancient relics, which are super important. Also, collect followers who will support you and train apprentices in the six different spheres of magic. As your power as an Order of Mages grows, you can have your apprentices compete against each other. This will help you get new spells and magical powers. Once you've gathered enough resources and power, build your own Mage tower. It'll let you watch over the game's lands and use your magic effectively. Remember, don't rush. Take your time to explore and make the most of every opportunity. When it's time for the final reckoning, you might just become the new Archmage. There aren't really any strict maintenance requirements for this game, but keep the game pieces in a safe place to avoid losing them. And make sure to store the game box in a dry area so the cards and other components don't get damaged.
