In this game, players tell their best excuses to an unforgiving master, hoping to avoid blame for evil's latest failure to defeat good. Servants of darkness use action cards to sabotage each other while building excuses around hint cards. They must also avoid the dark overlord's withering looks to survive and serve another day. The Green Box is a new version of the game. It's a complete standalone game but can also be paired with The Red Box for more variety. With the same card backs and production specs, the hint cards, action cards, and withering looks match both The Red Box and the FFG edition. The Green Box adds new mechanics, like the Back of the Line and No Way! action cards. Hints like Occult Hunters, The Best from the Labyrinth, The Jar with a Thousand Demons, and Impossible Math Calculations give you more stories to shield from the dark overlord's wrath. Play as sniveling goblins explaining failed evil plans or the powerful Dark Overlord Rigor Mortis passing judgment. It adds new elements to The Red Box, can be played alone, and preserves the beloved gameplay of constructing elaborate excuses to appease the dark overlord.
