Between Two Castles Essential Edition

The Essential Edition of Between Two Castles is an exciting competitive drafting and tile - placement game crafted by Ben Rosset and Matthew O’Malley. It's suitable for 1 to 8 players and takes about 45 - 60 minutes to play. This edition combines the original game and the Secrets & Soirees expansion in one box. You, a world - renowned master builder, are summoned by the king to design his castles. For each project, you'll team up with another master builder. Each tile represents a room in a castle. You'll collaborate with the player on your left for one castle and the player on your right for another. Select two tiles per turn, reveal them, and place them with your partners. At game's end, each castle is scored. Your final score is the lower of the two castle scores you contributed to, and the highest scorer wins. To emerge victorious, you must split your focus between two castles.

How to play: First, gather 1 to 8 players. The game will last about 45 to 60 minutes. You're a master builder chosen by the king. When it's your turn, pick two tiles from your hand. Show these tiles to other players and then work with your partners (the player on your left for one castle and the one on your right for the other) to place the tiles in the castles. At the end of the game, each castle gets scored. Your personal score is the lower of the scores of the two castles you helped build. The player with the highest score wins. Note: Make sure to balance your attention between the two castles. Also, since it's a competitive game, think strategically when choosing and placing tiles. Maintenance: Keep the tiles in a dry and clean place to prevent them from getting damaged. You can store them in the provided box when the game is not in use.
