Between Two Cities Essential Edition

Between Two Cities is an exciting 30 - minute tile - drafting board game suitable for 1 to 7 players. Each tile represents a part of a city. You'll team up with the player on your left to build one city center and, at the same time, collaborate with the player on your right to construct a second city center. On each turn, pick two tiles from your hand, show them, and then work with your partners to place one tile in each of your two cities. At game's end, each city is scored based on its architectural grandeur. Your final score is the lower of the scores of the two cities you helped design, and the player with the highest final score wins. You need to balance your attention and efforts equally between the two cities to win. The Essential Edition combines elements from the original game and the Capitals expansion. It comes in a larger box, has different tile art, and includes a scorepad instead of a board, but there are no new gameplay elements. If you own the original game and the Capitals Expansion, you already have all the content.

How to play: First, gather 1 to 7 players. Each player starts the game with a hand of tiles. On your turn, pick two tiles from your hand and show them to your partners. Then, work with the player on your left to place one tile in the city you're building together, and do the same with the player on your right for the second city. Keep taking turns until the game ends. When the game is over, score each city according to its architectural grandiosity. Your final score is the lower of the scores of the two cities you've built. The player with the highest final score wins. Attention: Make sure to balance your efforts between the two cities. Don't focus too much on one city and neglect the other. Maintenance: Keep the tiles and scorepad in a dry place to prevent damage. You can also use a box to store all the game components neatly when not in use.
