The Kingdom of Northymbra is in chaos. King Redwulf is gone, and his son, the regent, battles threats from all sides. There's unrest among the knights and nobles, whispers of revolution from the Freebeasts, border incursions by Wildbeasts, and bandits taking advantage of the disorder. Burrows & Badgers is a thrilling tabletop skirmish game set in ancient Northymbra. Here, mice, badgers, toads and other animals don armor, wield swords, and cast magic. Your table transforms into Northymbra's landscape - ruined villages, haunted forests, and misty marshes - where brutal ambushes and desperate battles take place. Lead your warband through battles and uphold your faction's name, whether you're with Reinert's Royalists, the Freebeasts of the Fox Families, or fighting for your own glory or survival. Each model in the game represents a unique character, chosen from a wide range of species from mice to badgers and equipped as you like. Scenarios are part of ongoing campaigns, where heroes and villains can make their mark, and the help of famous mercenaries can decide victory or defeat.
To start playing Burrows & Badgers, first choose your faction - you can go with Reinert's Royalists, the Freebeasts of the Fox Families, or just fight for yourself. Then, pick your models from the different species available. You can arm and equip them however you want. Set up your table to look like the Kingdom of Northymbra, with elements like ruined villages, haunted forests, and misty marshes. When playing, lead your warband through the scenarios. Remember, these scenarios are part of ongoing campaigns, so every move counts. As for maintenance, keep your models in a safe place to avoid damage. If they get dirty, you can gently clean them. When storing, try to keep them separated to prevent them from getting scratched or broken. Have fun playing and may your faction win many battles!
