Description

The Butterfly Garden is an engaging tile - laying game similar to Metro, Tsuro, and Linie 1. In this game, players gradually build paths, but no one owns individual paths. Everyone tries to make the most of existing paths. Unlike previous games, the aim here is to move butterflies from their starting spots on the board to your assigned flowerbeds. The player with the most points wins. Set up the game board by placing the central fountain tile and adding five pink and one purple butterfly figures. Then place six fountain tiles on the outer edge of the board and put a blue butterfly on each. Players place their tokens on flowerbeds between the butterfly tiles on the board's edge according to the player count. On each turn, players place a path tile on the board, with the rule that you can't create a direct route between two flowerbeds. Players always have two path tiles with three route segments each. When a path tile is placed next to a butterfly, it flies as far as it can, making it easy to plan the next move. When connecting to the central fountain, pink butterflies move first, and the purple one moves on the sixth connection. If a path tile causes two butterflies to collide, they fly away and are removed from the game. When a butterfly reaches a single - owned flowerbed, the owner keeps it. If two players own it, both get a butterfly of that color. The game ends when all butterflies are claimed. Purple butterflies are worth 3 points, pink ones 2, and blue ones 1. The top - scoring player takes the win.

How to play: First, set up the game board. Place the central fountain tile and put five pink and one purple butterfly figures on it. Then, place six fountain tiles on the outer edge of the board and put a blue butterfly on each. Each player places their tokens on the flowerbeds according to the number of players. On your turn, you can place a path tile on the board, but remember you can't make a direct route between two flowerbeds. You always have two path tiles with three route segments each. When you place a path tile next to a butterfly, it will fly along the path. When connecting to the central fountain, pink butterflies move first and the purple one on the sixth connection. Note: If you place a path tile that makes two butterflies collide, they'll fly away and be out of the game. When a butterfly lands on a flowerbed, if it's owned by one player, that player gets it. If two players own it, both get a butterfly. Once all butterflies are claimed, the game ends. Purple butterflies are worth 3 points, pink ones 2, and blue ones 1. The player with the most points wins. Maintenance: Keep the game pieces in a dry place to prevent damage. If the tiles get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
