Caesars Empire is an exciting 2 - 5 player board game set in the world of the popular Asterix comic series. This time, you'll side with the great Julius Caesar and work to expand his empire by building roads. As a member of Caesar's entourage, your goal is to bring the most glory to Rome and win rich rewards! In this game, you'll build roads to connect Rome to new cities on the board. Each road - building action scores points. Reaching new cities gets you city and treasure tokens, which are worth points at the end of the game. The game ends when Rome is connected to all cities on the board. The player with the most points, after adding the value of city and treasure tokens to the in - game scores, wins. The game uses a simple network - building mechanic. You can place your road pieces anywhere on the board, starting from Rome or a city whose token has been taken. You might even continue a road started by another player. When you reach a city, take its token and a treasure token. The treasures go on your player board and can score big points, especially if you form collections. After taking tokens, score your route back to Rome. Each road section in your route scores 1 point for its owner, which could be you or an opponent. The game keeps going until all cities are taken, then it's time for final scoring. At the end, score points based on your city tokens (each city has a value on the back). If you have multiple city tokens of the same color, only the highest - value one counts. Also, score the value of your treasure collections on the player board. Gold treasures are scored separately. The player with the most points returns to Rome to receive fortune and glory from Caesar himself!
