Cartagena: Escape Diaries is a thrilling board game inspired by the classic Cartagena, offering multiple gameplay modes. In the 'First Escape', each player controls a group of six animal pirates. The goal is to be the first to guide all your pirates through the winding underground passage to the port where a sloop awaits. To move a pirate, play a card from your hand. Each card has one of six symbols, and you move a pirate to the next matching symbol in the tunnel, even jumping over others on the same symbol. The only way to get more cards is by moving a pirate backward to a space with one or two pirates and then drawing cards. Each turn, you can take 1 - 3 actions, either forward, backward, or both. Once a pirate reaches the end, it waits on the sloop for the rest of the crew. But be careful, as you get closer to victory, you have fewer pirates to move, so plan ahead! In the 'Second Escape' - 'Follow the Captain', place a captain hat on a pirate and use its special powers. The 'Third Escape' - 'Risky Rafts' lets you try to escape faster on a leaky raft, with the risk of sinking. Combine the Second and Third Escapes for the 'Fourth Escape' - 'All Together Now!'

After each game, put everything back in the box neatly to avoid losing parts.
