The Casting Shadows Molten Rock Expansion is an exciting addition for the Casting Shadows game. It comes with Phoenix and Turtle character player boards. This expansion introduces 2 brand - new playable characters and 3 unique Hex tiles, enabling up to 6 players to enjoy the game on an expanded map. It brings in fresh mechanics and effects. You can fortify your defenses for better protection or scorch nearby locations to stop anyone trying to cross your way. The expansion pack includes 34 cards, 3 Hex tiles, 10 Status tokens, 2 double - sided Player Boards, and 2 meeples.

To use this expansion, first, add the new Hex tiles to the main game map to expand it. Then, hand out the new player boards to the players who want to use the new characters, the Phoenix and the Turtle. Shuffle the 34 new cards into the main deck. Each player gets their meeples and status tokens. During the game, you can use the new mechanics. If you want extra protection, use the fortify action. To stop opponents, scorch nearby locations. When you're done playing, store the cards in a card box, and keep the meeples and tokens in a small container. Avoid bending the cards or getting them wet. Make sure to keep all the pieces together to avoid losing them.
