Catan Histories Rise of the Inkas

Long before the Inkan Empire took over in Peru, numerous advanced indigenous cultures in South America's Andean regions flourished and faded. Catan: Rise of the Inkas™ presents new strategic hurdles as you play. Similar to the core Catan® mechanics, you build roads and settlements, get development cards for an edge, and use the robber to slow down your opponents. Eventually, your early tribe will peak and be replaced as a new era begins. As you play Rise of the Inkas, you must let your early tribes decline twice to make room for a new tribe's era. Remove your roads from the board and cover settlements with vines to show they can't be developed. But the game doesn't end there. When your tribe declines, place a new settlement on an open board space and keep playing. Timing is key in your strategy. Take advantage of your opponents' declining settlements to win.

How to play: Start by following the core Catan rules to build roads and settlements. As you play, keep an eye on your tribe's development. When it's time, let your early tribes decline by removing roads and covering settlements with vines. Then, place a new settlement on an available space and continue. Try to time your moves well to use your opponents' declining settlements to your advantage. Note: Make sure to keep track of the game state and your resources. Also, don't forget to use the robber to hinder your opponents. Maintenance: Keep the game components clean and organized. Store them in a dry place to prevent damage.
