Description
Centurion is an exciting tile - based strategy board game with an old - world Roman theme. At the start, players place their Centurion on one of the two middle squares on their side of the game - board, followed by two Legionnaires beside it. Each turn, you can either draw a new tile randomly from the bag or move an existing tile in play. The game's core innovation is its double - sided PROFILE SYSTEM tiles. Each side represents a defensive or offensive posture and shows what the piece can do this turn. After a move or using a special ability, flip the tile to reveal a new profile. These profiles give different movement and attack options like a standard Move (full circle), Jump (hollow circle), Slide (arrow), and special Strike (star). Your goal is to defend your troops while aiming to capture your opponent's Duke, Jarl, or Centurion tiles. With thirteen double - sided Soldier tiles and nineteen pieces per player, every game presents new challenges and needs fresh strategies. You can also play asymmetrically with sets from The Duke, Jarl, or CENTURION, offering endless play variety. It's for 2 players, takes 15 - 60 minutes, and is suitable for ages 10 and up. Features include grid movement, pattern movement, and tile placement.
How to play: First, set up the game by placing your Centurion on one of the two middle squares on your side of the game - board. Then put two Legionnaires next to the Centurion. Each turn, you have two choices. You can either draw a new tile from the bag or move a tile that's already on the board. When you move a piece or use its special ability, flip the double - sided tile to show the other profile. Try to defend your own troops and capture your opponent's important tiles like the Duke, Jarl, or Centurion. Things to note: Make sure you understand the different movement and attack options shown on the tile profiles. Don't forget that each side of the tile has a different function. Maintenance advice: Keep the tiles in a dry and clean place to avoid damage. If they get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
