It's also compatible with Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game and Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of Drizzt Board Game.

To play this Dungeons & Dragons board game, first gather 1 to 5 players. Open the box and take out all the components - the plastic heroes and monsters, the cardstock dungeon tiles, the encounter and treasure cards, the rulebook, the scenario book, and the 20 - sided die. Refer to the rulebook to learn the basic rules and how to set up the game. Choose a scenario from the scenario book and start building the dungeon using the interlocking tiles. Place the heroes and monsters on the appropriate tiles. As you play, draw encounter and treasure cards to add excitement to your adventure. Remember to roll the 20 - sided die for various actions in the game. When you're done playing, carefully put all the components back in the box. Store the game in a cool, dry place to keep the plastic and cardstock in good condition. Avoid bending or tearing the cards and tiles. If the plastic figures get dirty, you can gently wash them with mild soap and water and let them dry completely before putting them away.
