Description

After a long forest hike, you reach a beautiful meadow - the perfect spot to set up your camera. The green grass sways gently in the wind, dotted with flowers glistening in the morning dew and sunlight. Flocks of butterflies dance slowly above. As you look through your lens, you're ready to capture this stunning natural beauty in a photo! Dust in the Wings is an engaging family board game that combines perception, planning, and the wonder of nature. Inspired by the ancient Mancala game, it has simple rules, an exciting gameplay, and offers a visually appealing experience. At the start, butterflies are placed on each flower in the 5x5 Meadow grid on the main game board. On each turn, players try to meet the requirements of different objectives to score points. The board is manipulated in the Mancala style. The active player selects a Meadow space, picks up all the butterflies there, and distributes them one by one to adjacent spaces. The goal is to place the last butterfly on a space that meets the requirements of a Gathering or Composition objective. A Gathering objective is met by gathering a specific number and types of butterflies on a single space. A Composition objective is fulfilled when a group of spaces contains the indicated number of butterflies and matches the shape and size on the card. Even if you meet multiple card requirements, you can only score one card per turn. At the game's end, scores are calculated. Each Composition card is worth the points shown on it, and the values of Scoring markers collected from Gathering objectives are added to the final total. The player with the most points wins!

To start playing Dust in the Wings, first place the butterflies on each flower in the 5x5 Meadow grid on the main game board. Each turn, it's your job to try and meet the requirements of the different objectives to score points. When it's your turn, choose a single Meadow space and pick up all the butterflies from that space. Then, distribute them one by one to adjacent Meadow spaces. The key is to place the last butterfly on a space that meets the requirements of a Gathering or Composition objective. Remember, even if you manage to meet the requirements of multiple cards, you can only score one card each turn. At the end of the game, your score is calculated by adding up the points from the Composition cards and the values of the Scoring markers you collected. The player with the most points is the winner! As for maintenance, keep the game pieces in a dry and safe place to avoid any damage. And make sure to handle the cards gently to prevent them from getting worn out.
