Description

End of the Trail is an exciting competitive card game tailored for 1 - 4 players who dream of being prospectors and fortune seekers. In this game, you'll manage your card hand to get transportation, prospect lands, and even try your luck at the poker table to win titles to more land. Each card has three uses, one for each game phase. You can use them to prospect land tiles and find out how much gold a claim will yield, collect and play cards to build a strong poker hand, or buy extra cards at auction to assist with prospecting, poker, or both. Prospecting land is full of risks. You need to pick your cards carefully as you have limited chances to discover the richest gold sources. Every time you play a card and peek at a land tile, you have to decide whether to stake a claim by placing your prospector's tent or take a chance to find a better one. But if the new land tile has less gold than the previous one you inspected, your luck runs out and you have to accept the less - bountiful claim. During the California Gold Rush, fortunes were made and lost at the poker table. At the end of each round, select two of the cards you used for prospecting and add them to your stud poker hand on the table. At the game's end, reveal your poker hands. The player with the best hand wins another claim and places their fourth and final prospector's tent on a land tile. When the game finishes, all hidden values are shown and players add up the gold from their claims. The one with the most gold takes the win.

How to play: First, gather 1 - 4 players. Each player gets a hand of cards. Use these cards to secure transportation, prospect land, and play poker. When prospecting, play a card to peek at a land tile. Decide if you want to stake a claim or keep looking. Be careful though, if the new tile has less gold than the previous one, you're stuck with the less - rich claim. At the end of each round, pick two prospecting cards and add them to your poker hand. At the game's end, show your poker hand. The best hand wins an extra claim. After that, add up the gold from all your claims. The player with the most gold is the winner. Things to note: Choose your cards wisely during prospecting as your chances are limited. Also, make smart decisions when adding cards to your poker hand. Maintenance: Keep the cards in a dry place to prevent them from getting damaged. If they get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
