One up - and - coming federation with 5 member planets is seeking a new delegation. But you're not the only one eyeing this opportunity. The Federation gives you 5 years to prove your worth. Over these 5 years, you need to devise strategies, use tactics, seize the best opportunities, and form the right alliances at the right moments. Only one delegation with the most prestige will be chosen at the end! Federation is an interactive Eurogame featuring an innovative double - sided worker placement mechanic. The game spans 5 rounds, each divided into 2 main steps. First, players take turns moving an Ambassador's pawn and sending a spaceship on a special mission. After all players finish their turns, the Executive Phase begins, where players get their income, fund Major Projects, and pass laws. At the end of the 5th round, the game concludes. The player with the most prestige points wins and joins the Federation. In case of a tie, the victory is shared. Your individual board includes 5 federated actions, 1 spy action, some senate actions, and special senate actions that award prestige points.
To play Federation, start by setting up the game board with your individual board having the 5 federated actions, 1 spy action, and other relevant actions. Each game lasts 5 rounds. In each round, first, take your turn by moving an Ambassador's pawn and sending a spaceship on a special mission. After all players have completed their turns, move on to the Executive Phase. Here, collect your income, decide whether to fund Major Projects, and vote on passing laws. Try to develop good strategies and form useful alliances during these 5 years in - game. At the end of the 5th round, check your prestige points. The player with the most wins and joins the Federation. If there's a tie, both players share the victory. When you're done playing, store the game pieces in a safe and dry place to keep them in good condition. Make sure to keep the game board flat to avoid any warping.
