Description
Feed the Kraken is an exciting hidden role deduction board game featuring three asymmetric factions. All players share the same ship, yet each faction has a different destination in mind. Loyal sailors aim to reach the mainland safely, pirates secretly steer for the Bermuda Triangle, and cultists strive to summon the Kraken from the deep sea. At the start, you'll get a secret affiliation marker, making you a loyal sailor, a sneaky pirate, or a fanatic cult leader. Only pirates know each other; others must find their teammates during the journey. Tools like rum - induced visions, cabin searches, and mermaids will help you uncover others' true loyalties. The game's goal is to navigate the ship to your faction's destination. Each turn, the ship sails in one of three directions, decided by the captain, lieutenant, and navigator. After each navigation, new crew members take over. You can convince others to give you key roles or even stage a mutiny. But beware, your decisions must keep your crew's trust. This sophisticated social deduction game is set in a beautiful vintage sailor theme, supporting 5 - 11 players. A match usually takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. The Deluxe Edition enhances the experience with 3 giant kraken miniatures, 7x7 cm colored badges for navigator and lieutenant roles, a draw and discard pile box system, poker chips for faction indication, sea bags to hide your role, and a lid for the plastic insert.
How to play: At the start of the game, each player gets a secret affiliation marker, making them a loyal sailor, pirate, or cultist. As you play, use events like rum - induced visions and cabin searches to find out others' loyalties. The captain, lieutenant, and navigator work together to decide the ship's direction each turn. After each navigation, new crew members take over these roles. You can try to convince others to give you important roles or stage a mutiny. Things to note: Remember, only pirates know each other at the start. You'll need to find your teammates as the game progresses. Also, your actions and decisions must keep the trust of your crew, or a mutiny might be waiting for you. Maintenance advice: Keep the game components in a dry place. The cardboard tokens and badges should be handled carefully to avoid damage. The plastic insert and lid can be wiped clean if needed. The sea bags can be shaken out to remove any debris. When not in use, store the game in a box to keep all components together.
