Description

In a world where 'Liberty! Equality! Eclairs!' has toppled tyranny, you and your friends form the Revolutionary Committee. With the queen gone, there's a lot of cake to be had! Amass honour to be the first among equals and pile up cake to be happy. Send your friends' pawns to the guillotine and be the first to 40 cakes to win. This game is all about committees, coercion, and cake. You can elect friends to power, hoping for favours, or denounce them as revolution enemies. Alliances and betrayal are part of the fun as you try to get as much cake as possible before the revolution falls apart. Each player starts with voting cards, three pawns, three medals of honour, and some cake. Each round has a series of elections, from the Head of Committee to the Food Inspector. After some negotiation, bribing, and pleading, players secretly choose a voting card for their desired candidate. Votes are multiplied by the number of pawns, and the Head of Committee breaks ties. Once you use a voting card, you can't reuse it until you've played all your cards, meaning you'll need to change your allegiances during the game. The first vote decides the Head of Committee, then the Enemy of the Revolution is chosen and must place a pawn on the guillotine. Next, a Guillotine Operator decides the pawn's fate. After that, a Secretary distributes cake and generals, and a Food Inspector can declare all cake unsafe at the cost of a medal. Throughout the game, players collect medals, generals, and cake. Fewer medals make you the Enemy of the Revolution, but the most generals protect you. You can spend generals to force a re - election or choose a vote winner. The game ends when a player gets 40 or more cakes, a player's last pawn is executed, or the deck runs out. The one with the most cake wins!

To start playing Let Them Eat Cake, each player gets a set of voting cards, three pawns, three medals of honour, and some cake. The game is played in rounds, with a series of elections in each round. When it's time to vote, you'll need to negotiate, bribe, and plead with other players. Then, secretly choose a voting card for the player you want to support. Remember, your votes are multiplied by the number of pawns you have, and the Head of Committee breaks ties. Once you use a voting card, you can't use it again until you've played all your cards. This means you'll have to change your alliances during the game. The first vote in a round is for the Head of Committee. After that, the Enemy of the Revolution is chosen and has to put a pawn on the guillotine. Then, a Guillotine Operator decides if the pawn gets executed or spared. Next, a Secretary hands out cake and generals to the players. Before taking these cards, a Food Inspector can declare all cake unsafe by using a medal. As you play, you'll collect medals, generals, and cake. Having few medals can make you the Enemy of the Revolution, but having the most generals protects you from such accusations. You can use your generals to force a re - election or choose the winner of a vote. The game ends when a player reaches 40 or more cakes, a player's last pawn is executed, or the deck runs out. The player with the most cake at the end is the winner. Make sure to keep track of your cards and pawns, and don't be afraid to change your strategies as the game goes on. Have fun playing and enjoy the revolution of cake!
