Description

Embark on an adventure in the world's most perilous massif! In Annapurna, you'll either team up or compete with other climbers to find balance on this ever - shifting and treacherous mountain. As you explore the card - made mountainside, expect rockslides, yetis, and danger around every corner! Start with an 18 - card mountain deck. Lay 15 face - down in a pyramid - shaped mountain and keep the rest as your backpack. Each card has a yin or yang value from 1 - 4 and a special effect. At the game's start, each player reveals a bottom - row card, executes its effect, and places their meeple on it. During your turn, you can explore an adjacent non - lower - level card by flipping it, performing its effects, and placing your meeple on it. You can also trade a backpack card with a mountain card and put the replaced one in a cache, or hide a card on another player's mountain. If your face - up mountain cards have a yin - yang balance, remove them from play. Once you reach the peak, add your cache to your hand. You can then spend turns dropping cache cards face - up on the mountain for better balance or throwing them onto another player's mountain. In the competitive game, when all reach the peak, players score 3, 2, or 1 flags based on balance, with ties going to the first to ascend. Play multiple rounds until someone gets nine flags to win. In the co - operative game, end after everyone scales the mountain, and all win only if there's an even yin - yang balance.

Let's get started with Annapurna, the thrilling mountain - climbing card game. First, you'll get a deck of 18 mountain cards. Lay out 15 of them face - down in a pyramid to form your mountain, and keep the rest as your backpack. At the start of the game, each player should reveal a card from the bottom row, do what the card says, and then put your meeple on it. When it's your turn, you have a few choices. You can explore an adjacent card on a non - lower level. Just flip it over, follow its instructions, and move your meeple there. You can also swap a card from your backpack with one in your mountain and put the old one in the cache. Or, if you're feeling a bit sneaky, you can hide a card on another player's mountain. Remember, if your face - up cards on the mountain have a good balance of yin and yang, you can take them out of the game. Once you make it to the peak, add your cache to your hand. Then you can spend your turns making your yin - yang balance better by dropping cache cards on the mountain or causing a bit of chaos by throwing cards on someone else's mountain. In the competitive version, once everyone is at the peak, the most balanced players get 3, 2, or 1 flags. The first to collect nine flags wins. In the co - operative game, you all win if everyone has an even yin - yang balance after scaling the mountain. Keep the cards in a dry place to avoid damage, and always shuffle well before starting a new game. Have fun climbing the mountain of cards!
