But soon after its start, mysterious 'Watchers' emerged across the Choson realm, bringing feud and disorder. Unlike normal political struggles, armed warfare is now common. Some say the 'Watchers' have extraordinary powers, even the ability to travel through time. Choson is a thematic sequel to Koryo, set in the same uchronian and politico - steampunk universe. The gameplay is similar to Koryo. The game runs for eight rounds. In each round, players draw a set number of cards and can play face - down in one of four ways: play as many characters as they want from one family, one character from two different families, one character and one event card, or three event cards.
