Description

M.U.L.E. first emerged as a computer game in 1983. Inspired by board games, it became a revolutionary classic. Now, this engaging game of cut - throat capitalism is available as a board game! In M.U.L.E. The Board Game, you're part of a pioneering species in the Galactic Federation. Along with other colonists, you'll try to settle the far - off Planet Irata with a mule - like machine that you'll likely grow to dislike. But for now, it's your key asset, along with your fellow colonists who might only help for profit. In M.U.L.E. (Multiple Use Labor Element), players claim land and install M.U.L.E.s. These robots produce goods for colonists to use, sell, or stockpile for profit. Smithore is a metal sold to the Store to make M.U.L.E.s. Crystite is a luxury mineral with a volatile price, which can be exported for big profits but may be stolen by pirates. Food is essential for development actions, and Energy powers M.U.L.E.s. There will be surpluses and shortages of goods, causing price fluctuations. Players need to plan ahead and be flexible when facing planetary disasters. Interaction among colonists is profit - driven. The smartest settler and trader wins fame, fortune, and the title of First Founder. There's also an overall Colony Retirement score to show how well your colony did.

To play M.U.L.E. The Board Game, first, each player becomes a colonist of the Galactic Federation. Claim plots of land on Planet Irata and install M.U.L.E.s on them. The M.U.L.E.s will start producing goods like Smithore, Crystite, Food, and Energy. Sell Smithore to the Store to get more M.U.L.E.s for increased production. Be careful with Crystite as pirates might steal it. Use Food for development actions and Energy to power your M.U.L.E.s. Keep an eye on the market prices as they change due to surpluses and shortages. Plan your strategies but be ready to change them when planetary disasters strike. When dealing with other colonists, remember they might only help if there's profit. After the game, check the Colony Retirement score to see how your colony performed. As for maintenance, keep the game pieces in a dry and safe place to avoid damage.
