Description
7 Wonders: Babel comes with two modules for the 7 Wonders base game. These modules can be used separately or combined with other expansions. In the first part, at the start of the game, players draft quarter - circle tiles before other drafts. Each tile shows a law that impacts all players when played. For example, single - resource cards can provide unlimited resources each turn, or military conflict winners get fewer points. When discarding a card, players can place a tile on a circular display instead of getting three coins. The law on the tile stays in effect until the end of the game or until covered. At game's end, players score points based on the number of tiles they played. In the second part, at the start of each age, one of five age - specific great project cards is randomly revealed, and tokens are placed on it according to the number of players. This card taxes players who want to play certain - colored cards. When a player pays the tax, they take a token from the card. At the end of the age, if all tokens are removed, players get a bonus per token they have; if tokens remain, players without a token are penalized. As the card cost increases with each age, so does the tax resource requirement.
To use 7 Wonders: Babel, first, you can choose to use one or both of the modules with your 7 Wonders base game. For the tile - drafting part, at the beginning of the game, draft quarter - circle tiles. Remember, these tiles have laws that will affect the whole game. When you discard a card, think carefully if you want to place a tile instead of getting coins. The tiles' laws will stay in play until they're covered or the game ends. Keep track of the tiles you play as they'll give you points at the end. For the great project card part, at the start of each age, a card is revealed, and tokens are placed on it. If you want to play certain - colored cards, you'll need to pay the tax and take a token. At the end of the age, check the tokens on the card to see if you get a bonus or a penalty. As you play through different ages, be aware that the cost of cards and the tax resource requirement will go up. When you're done playing, store the game components in a dry place to keep them in good condition. Also, make sure to shuffle the cards well before each new game to keep things fair and random.
