This 5-6 player expansion adds extra pieces and components, along with a simple turn-taking system to keep everyone engaged. It's perfect for 5-6 players, takes 90+ minutes to play, and is suitable for ages 10 and up. Features include dice rolling, hand management, a modular board, network and route building, and trading. The theme is base-game expansion and negotiation. Components include 11 terrain hexes, 4 sea frame pieces, 28 number discs, 2 player aids, 48 wooden player pieces in 2 colors (24 each), 34 cards, and rules. Note: This is not a complete game and requires the CATAN® Base Game 6th edition to play.
How to use: First, make sure you have the CATAN® Base Game 6th edition. Then, take out the components from the 5 - 6 Player Expansion. Add the 11 terrain hexes and 4 sea frame pieces to the base - game board. Distribute the 28 number discs according to the rules. Each player gets a set of the wooden pieces in their color and the 2 player aids. Shuffle the 34 cards. Start the game and use the simple turn - taking mechanism to play. Have fun trading, building networks and routes, and rolling the dice!
Note: This expansion can't be played on its own. You must have the CATAN® Base Game 6th edition. It's recommended for 5 - 6 players aged 10 and up, and the game will take at least 90 minutes.
Maintenance: Keep the components in a dry place. If the wooden pieces get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a dry cloth. Store the cards in a card sleeve to prevent wear and tear. When not in use, put all the pieces back in the box to keep them organized.
