Caverna: Cave vs. Cave is an exciting two - player board game. At the start, each player has just two dwarves and a small mountain excavation. Over eight rounds, players double their workforce, create new living spaces in the mountain, build new buildings and rooms, and dig for precious metals. Each player gets an individual player board with a random mix of face - down building/room tiles and just one space. Some tiles are face - up and available for purchase at the start, and four action tiles are also face - up. In each of the eight rounds, a new action tile is revealed, and players take turns taking actions, with the number increasing from two to four as the game progresses. As players dig in their mountain - themed player board, new building and room tiles are added. Some rooms can be used right away, while others need an action tile. After eight rounds, players count points for constructed buildings and collected gold to determine the winner. In Caverna: Cave vs Cave – Era II, players explore a side cave full of ore. Donkeys help transport the ore to the surface for iron - casting and weapon - forging to protect the cave. Meanwhile, the tribe has four working primates. Keep gathering grains, fibers, and building resources to grow your wealth and soon start agriculture. The Big Box edition combines all the materials from the base game and the first expansion in one package.
