To play Citadels, start by dealing a number of building cards to each player. At the start of each round, the previous king discards a random character card, then chooses one and passes the rest around until everyone has a character secretly. Remember, each character has a special ability, so choose based on your current situation and what you think your opponents are up to. When it's your turn, you can either earn two or more gold or draw two building cards and discard one. Then, you can build one building, or up to three if you're playing the architect. Make sure to check the gold cost of the building, which is equal to the number of symbols on it. At the end of the game, count your points from buildings and any bonus points for having eight buildings or all five - colored buildings. As for maintenance, keep the cards in a cool, dry place to prevent damage. Avoid bending or folding the cards, and if they get dirty, gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
