Based on the Dungeons & Dragons' Storm King’s Thunder adventure, Assault of the Giants is an exciting new board game crafted by Andrew Parks. It's perfect for 3 - 6 players. You'll take charge of giant armies and wage war across northwest Faern. Order your giants to attack villages and cities of small folk, scoring points and gathering resources like food, artifacts, ore, and runes. Each player uses command cards to control their giants - recruit, move, attack, pillage, etc. You can recruit new giants, send them to attack settlements and other giants, and follow special agendas according to your chosen giant race. There are six different giant races to represent - hill, stone, frost, fire, cloud, and storm giants, each with a unique goal. For instance, Storm Giants aim to restore their lost king, Cloud Giants hunt for an ancient dragon treasure, and Hill Giants seek lots of food for their chief. The game comes with 12 color - injection - molded Giant miniatures, ranging from about 60mm to over 90mm in height, and three Giantslayers.
To play this game, first, choose your giant race, each with its own special goal. Then, you'll use command cards to give orders to your giants, like recruiting new ones, moving them around the board, attacking settlements or other giants, and pillaging for resources. When you attack small folk villages and cities, you can score points and get useful resources such as food, artifacts, ore, and runes. As you play, keep an eye on your race's special agenda and try to achieve it. Be careful not to damage the 12 color - injection - molded Giant miniatures. When not in use, store them in a safe place to prevent them from getting broken. If they get dirty, you can gently clean them with a soft cloth. That's it!
