Description
The Story: After a series of expeditions in the cold Siberian tundra, some successful and some not, corruption has grown into a major threat. New heroes, more prepared than before, come together to face a mechanical monster. As they explore Tunguska, the changing landscape brings more uncertainty.
The Gears of Corruption expansion for Expeditions adds risk and danger. There are secret bonuses on map tokens and a corrupted mech roaming the land. To fight these threats, it offers 2 new mechs, 4 new character/companion pairs, and components for a 6th player. It also speeds up early gameplay by giving players starting resources and a hero worker that can act as any type of worker.
Components: The expansion is available in a standard version with plastic mechs and 1 plastic base snap, and an Ironclad Edition with metal mechs, 6 rubber base snaps to update the originals, and foil on the box. All the contents are designed to fit into the original box insert.
Contents include 1 rulebook, 2 large mech miniatures and base snaps (plastic in standard, metal in Ironclad), 7 mech mats, 16 new map tokens with secret bonuses, 6 hero workers, 8 starting cards, 6 discovery cards, 7 mech cards, 12 corruption cards and 1 corrupted mech reference card, components for a 6th player, 6 silkscreen printed corruption tokens, and a robust Automa solo mode with 5 progress cards, 1 corrupted mech reference card, and 1 rulebook.
How to Use: First, read the rulebook carefully to understand the game rules. Place the mech miniatures on their bases and set up the map tokens. Distribute the starting cards, discovery cards, and mech cards to the players. If you're playing with a 6th player, add the relevant components. Use the hero workers to take actions during the game. When playing solo, use the Automa solo - mode components.
Note: Make sure to handle the metal mechs in the Ironclad Edition carefully to avoid scratches. Keep the small tokens and cards in a safe place to prevent loss.
Maintenance: Wipe the mech miniatures and cards with a soft, dry cloth to keep them clean. Store the game in a cool, dry place to prevent damage to the components.
