Description
Feed the Kraken is an engaging hidden role deduction game featuring three asymmetric factions. All players share the same ship, yet they have different destinations in mind! Loyal sailors aim to safely guide the ship to the mainland, while pirates secretly steer it towards the Bermuda Triangle. A crazy cultist is trying to convince the crew to help summon the Kraken from the sea's depths. At the start, each player gets a secret affiliation marker, being a loyal sailor, sneaky pirate, or fanatic cult leader. Only pirates know each other, and others must find their teammates as they sail. Rum - induced visions, cabin searches, and more help uncover the true loyalties of others. The game's goal is to navigate the ship to your faction's destination. Each turn, the ship sails in one of three directions, decided by the captain, lieutenant, and navigator. After each navigation, new crew members take over. Players can discuss the course, blame others, and try to take leadership roles. This sophisticated social deduction game is set in a beautiful vintage sailor world. It supports 5 - 11 players and a match usually lasts from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
How to play Feed the Kraken: At the start of the game, you'll get a secret affiliation marker that tells you if you're a loyal sailor, pirate, or cult leader. Only pirates know each other. As you play, use things like rum - induced visions and cabin searches to figure out who's on your side. The goal is to navigate the ship to your faction's destination. The captain, lieutenant, and navigator work together to decide the ship's direction each turn. After each navigation, new people take their places. You can talk with other players about how the navigation went and try to get leadership roles. Tips: Pay attention to what others say and do. Try to figure out their true loyalties. If you want to take a leadership role, convince others it's a good idea. Be careful though, if your decisions don't please the crew, there might be a mutiny. Maintenance: Since this is a board game, just keep the pieces in a safe place and make sure they don't get lost. When not in use, store the game in a dry and cool place to keep it in good condition.
