Lanterns The Emperors Gifts

This year's festival is extra special! The emperor has decreed that pavilions will be built among the floating lake lanterns. In Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts, an expansion to the award - winning Lanterns: The Harvest Festival, start with a small set of pavilions. When placing a tile, build a pavilion on it. Match colors on a pavilion to get gifts from the emperor, a new currency. Two emperor cards are revealed each game. Redeem two gifts to activate a card and perform special actions like making an extra dedication or converting favor tokens into victory points. These new abilities add fun and enhance the original game's simplicity.

To play Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts, start with the small supply of pavilions you get at the beginning. When it's your turn to place a tile, you can choose to build a pavilion on that tile. Try to match colors on the pavilions to earn gifts from the emperor. Remember, two emperor cards are shown each game. To use an emperor card, redeem two gifts. With these cards, you can do things like make an extra dedication at the end of your turn or turn favor tokens into victory points.
