In Monuments Deluxe Edition, 1 to 4 players get to lead Mayan, Incan, Greek, or Egyptian civilizations. Throughout the game, you'll construct your Monument layer by layer. Alongside this epic building feat, you need to grow your population, produce resources, expand your territories on land and sea, build structures, and outwit your opponents. The gameplay is smooth and fast. Each turn, you can play a simple action card and discard it or retrieve all discarded cards. The game ends when a player finishes the fifth and final layer of their Monument, and the one with the most victory points wins! It even comes with an AI opponent for solo play. With turns taking just about 5 seconds to execute, there's very little downtime. Thanks to unique civilizations, different score cards, common and personal bonus cards, and special abilities, the replayability is high. Quest cards help new players, and there are numerous ways to play and win. The 6 large punchboard sheets of Monuments offer an outstanding gaming experience at this price. To play Monuments Deluxe Edition, first set up the game board and place the cardboard monuments, resources, and play pieces as shown in the instructions. Each player gets a player board. Decide who goes first. On your turn, you have two options: play a simple action card and discard it or take all discarded cards back. Try to build your monument layer by layer, grow your population, and expand your territories. The game ends when someone finishes the fifth layer of their monument, and the player with the most victory points wins. For solo play, use the AI opponent. Keep in mind that turns are quick, so be ready to make decisions fast. When you're done playing, store all the components in a safe place to avoid damage. If any cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure to keep the dice in a container to prevent them from getting lost.
