In Near and Far: Amber Mines, four wanderers embark on a quest to find the Last Ruin. Legends say this city holds an artifact that can fulfill the greatest desires of the heart, like a lost love, redemption, acceptance, or a family reunion. You and up to three friends can explore various maps to seek the Last Ruin, recruit adventurers, hunt for treasure, and compete to be the most famous traveler. Stock up on food and equipment in town before heading to mysterious places, and don't forget enough weapons to fight bandits, living statues, and rusty robots! During your journey, you'll encounter unique events, and a friend will read from a story - book, letting you choose how to react and creating a new and unforgettable tale every time you play. This is a sequel to Above and Below and comes with a book of encounters. It takes over ten game sessions to finish the story, with each chapter on a brand - new map full of unique art and adventures. How to play: Gather up to four players. You'll start by exploring different maps to find the Last Ruin. In town, collect food, equipment, and weapons. As you travel, use your items and recruited adventurers to overcome challenges. When a unique event occurs, listen to the story read by a friend and choose your reaction. To reach the end of the story, you need to play over ten game sessions. Each chapter is on a new map. Things to note: Make sure you plan your resource collection well, as long journeys need enough food and equipment. Also, keep your weapons handy to deal with enemies. Maintenance advice: Keep the game components in a dry and cool place to prevent damage. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
