In Ore: The Exciting Mining Board Game, players step into the shoes of shrewd industrialists vying for glory and wealth. Set during the industrial revolution, this game realistically mimics the challenges of supply - chain management. Players take turns to strategically place their workers. They can send them to mines to gather five types of resources (lead, coal, copper, iron, or gold), or to the distribution area to land profitable contracts for business expansion. Each player starts with $5+ and 4 workers. At the beginning, resources are scarce. But through mining, asset acquisition, contract - securing, and new initiatives, players can steadily increase their income. Mines will deplete after a certain number of turns and will be replaced by new mine cards. There are also limited assets, initiatives, and contract cards, which are replenished until the decks are empty. The game ends at the end of Turn 7. The player with the most victory points from buildings, money, and completed contracts wins. It's suitable for 2 - 5 players, takes 60 - 90 minutes to play, and is for ages 12 and above.
How to play: First, each player gets $5+ and 4 workers. Then, take turns to place your workers either in the mines to collect resources or in the distribution area to get contracts. Keep an eye on your income and try to expand your operations through different initiatives. Notice that mines will run out after some turns, so plan your resource - gathering well. Also, the number of asset, initiative, and contract cards is limited. Once you use them up, there won't be more. The game ends after Turn 7, and the one with the most victory points wins. Maintenance advice: Keep the game cards in a dry place to prevent them from getting damaged. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
