Step into the shoes of expert bonsai masters and grow your very own bonsai. The player with the best - grown plant gets the chance to showcase their Bonsai at the Imperial gardens. On each turn, you have two actions: meditate or cultivate. When you meditate, pick a face - up card on the board and take it along with the Bonsai tiles below it. Cultivating allows you to place tiles from your personal supply into your Bonsai. You can place as many tiles as the symbols on your Seishi tile and Growth cards. Each symbol lets you place one corresponding tile. If your bonsai meets or exceeds the requirements of an unclaimed Goal tile on the table during your turn, decide right away if you want to claim it or aim for a tougher one. The game ends when the last card from the deck is revealed. Each tile in your bonsai is worth points. In the solo game, try additional scenarios with changed rules and goals, and take on the Emperor Challenge. This game is for 1 - 4 players, takes about 40 minutes, and is suitable for ages 10 and up. It features open drafting, solo/solitaire gameplay, and tile placement, with an environmental theme.
