Description

Castle Panic: Crowns and Quests is an exciting expansion for the Castle Panic board game. It brings new characters and quests to the game world. Players can select from a range of playable characters, each having its own game - altering power to use during their turn. They use these powers to take on a series of quests that must be completed before the castle is destroyed. Quests involve retrieving magical items from the board, destroying a cursed temple, or teleporting the whole castle to safety, all while fending off the monster army. The newest expansion adds 12 playable characters with unique abilities. These characters can join the royal court to defend the Castle. At the start of the game, each character is assigned to one of the 6 towers. If the tower is destroyed, the character is lost, and the player continues without that ability. To win the game, players must survive the quests. At the start, they choose 1 Standard Quest and 1 Endgame Quest. Until both quests are completed, the monster pile will keep refilling. Standard Quests include searching for magic scrolls, finding a cure for a madness plague, and holding off magical stones that make monsters spawn closer to the Castle. After achieving the Standard Quest, players move on to the Endgame Quest, which they either complete or fail trying. Endgame Quests feature challenges like collapsing caves to stop monster flow, racing against time to destroy a cursed obelisk, and placing magical portals to teleport the Castle to safety. With 11 Standard and 7 Endgame Quests, there are hours of replay value as players explore different challenges.

How to use: First, set up the Castle Panic base game as usual. Then, add the Crowns and Quests expansion components. At the start of the game, assign each of the 12 new characters to one of the 6 towers. Each player chooses a character and gets to use its unique power on their turn. Select 1 Standard Quest and 1 Endgame Quest. Try to complete the Standard Quest first, then move on to the Endgame Quest. While doing so, fight off the monster army using your character's power. Note: If a tower is destroyed, the character assigned to it is lost, so protect the towers. When the monster pile runs out, refill it until both quests are completed. Maintenance: Keep the game components in a dry and cool place. Store the cards in a card protector to prevent damage. Avoid folding or creasing the game board. When not in use, put all pieces back in the box neatly.
