Description
Embark on an intergalactic adventure and forge connections with lost civilizations. Galactic Renaissance is the second part of the 'Political Trilogy' by designer Christian Martinez and publisher Matagot, following Inis. In this game, you'll build your team by adding unique specialists to your card deck. Use your team to discover new planets and systems, re - establish contact with lost civilizations, expand your influence, construct embassies, and disrupt opposing factions. The goal is to score victory points faster than your opponents. Sending emissaries to new planets can help you find new civilizations or strengthen ties on known planets, but beware, your opponents may try to sway planets with their own emissaries, causing chaos. This game is for 2 - 4 players, takes 90+ minutes, and is suitable for ages 14+. It features action drafting, area majority/influence, deck, bag, and pool building, and a modular board. Themes include card game, political, and space exploration.
How to play: First, set up the modular board according to the game rules. Each player starts with a basic deck of cards. On your turn, you can draft actions from the available options. Use these actions to add specialists to your team in the deck. Send emissaries to planets to discover new civilizations or strengthen your influence. Try to outscore your opponents by achieving various goals like building embassies and causing disorder in opposing factions. Things to note: Keep an eye on your opponents' moves. They might try to steal your opportunities by sending their own emissaries to the same planets. Make sure to manage your resources well and plan your actions strategically. Maintenance: Store the cards in a cool, dry place to prevent them from warping or getting damaged. You can use card sleeves to protect them further. If the board gets dirty, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
